Vocalist Kim Maguire and guitarist Rob Lowe join forces to create innovative contemporary versions of classic jazz, blues, Latin, as well as reimagined covers of pop and reggae. An immersion experience for the ears and eyes, their post-modern bent moves from ethereal to edgy. Employing creative looping and layering techniques, they craft intricate yet approachable grooves and harmonies. From Rob’s lightning fast finger work to Kim’s dynamic vocal abilities and range, their execution is alluring and innovative.
A 2017 Seattle/Kobe Female Jazz Vocalist finalist, Kim holds a prominent spot in the vocal Seattle jazz scene. Kim has been seen on many regional and local stages including Houston Grand Opera, Fifth Ave. Theatre, Benaroya Hall, Village Theatre and Town Hall. A regular at Hotel Sorrento, Kim has also sung at Tula's, Egan's Jam House in Ballard, North City Bistro, Boxley’s, The MQ Lounge at Triple Door, Vito's, and Frederick Holmes "Hot Jazz in the Gallery" series. Characterized by her authentic and charismatic presence, Kim is a catalyst for inclusiveness and unity through music.
Originally from Canada, Rob grew up listening to classic rock and blues. He graduated from the Selkirk College Contemporary Music Program in Nelson, BC, where he developed his love of jazz. Influenced by high-energy players including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Wes Montgomery, Pat Martino, and George Benson, he enjoys playing a wide variety of genres and sounds. He now performs regularly around Western Washington.
